An Ode To "TYA"

Solitary we walked in like leaves in a tree
And entered the Nightmare from Elms street – surreal.
And when a pal was naught to be found,

one raving lunatic was always around,
Cheerfully dancing – ignoring the pain
The shaved legs – the big pegs – all in his domain!
Carefree and blithe and ever so light,

With a penchant for adventure ; near perfect eye-sight!
From acquaintance to friend – that journey was short
And we hate to say this – but you’ve aged a lot!
And as you age – (By golly youre old),
And end up with dentures that are made up of gold
We wish a very happy birthday to you!
And hope you throw us a party pretty soon!
And as such masters of poetry be we,
We pack up this epic and now leave you be!
