The Heat within;)

Well i sure upset the apple cart a bit....

Delhi's finally cooled down after a HOT HOt two weeks, and i guess the heat in the air made its way into peoples heads, especially mine....

A few days ago, I actually had full fledged fistfight with a client, well the Works Manager of an Institution we're doing some supervision work for...

Well the person in question just got into the picture, as the old Works Manager resigned a few weeks ago, and I guess the guy was just given tight deadlines for completion, and he's a pushy sort of person, may I add, without sounding derogatory, a bit brash, and immature.

Well now, my scope included basic supervision of three items of work, Contracted to different parties. One of the concerned parties is bombay based, without a local contractor per say.

Now the system mentioned above, contracted to the bombay party, is a basic mist system, which consists of nozzles which release water at a high p[ressure, thus generating mist. After a lot of fussing, on the behalf of the institution, I reluctantly guided the workers, hired by the institution, and got them to install the system to basic satisfactory level.

So far so good, the Works Manager was already registered in my head as a bit of an as&&*ole, but atleast the work was done.

Well 3 days after the installation he calls, and demands my immediate presence, I blasted hime verbally, as I had other commitments for the day, but promised to be with him by the late evening.

Once i reached, at the appointed hour, after an exhausting day, he started cribbing that the spray sytem was'nt working. I clarified, that it was'nt really my scope, and he should get in toch with the office in bombay. Anyway I decided to have a look and see if it was a simple enough problem i could fix...

I climbed up onto the rickety scaffolding, and lo and behold... the entire pipe, nozzles and all was covered with paint. The idiots had painted over the tiny .12 micron holes(thats half the dia of a human hair) thus blocking the water from coming out. Jeez.. how stupid can you get!!

Well I reported back to Mr as&&*ole, who immediately went on to the defensive, and started saying that i should have done a better job of supervision and shit!!.. well i listened coolly for ten minutes... and then i just lost my cool... before i knew it I was at his collar....

Well it felt good, and he deserved every bit of it!! but hes a client after all!!But i got off easy, no repurcussions yet :)

Well now that the weathers cooled off, i guess i can write this with a cool head, just an objective account of things as they happened!

Woah!! it was fun!!
